Maud Beatrice Reis was born on 8 November 1872 at 85 Islip Street, Kentish Town, London, the eldest daughter of Charles Lionel and  Elizabeth (Woodburn) Reis. She married in 1910 Edgar Francis Beavan. They do not appear to have had children.

Maud died on 22 February 1926 at Watreloo-villa Manson near Monmouth. Edgar died on 24 February 1928 also at Waterloo-villa.

Edgar had a younger sister Rosa who died on 24 September 1955 at 56 Brighton Road, Lancing, Sussex.
