Gerald Stuart Reis was born in 1887 in London, the son of Arthur Montagu and Lillian (Samuel) Reis. He married Lillian Clarissa Daffen on 25 June 1910 at the Registrar’s office of Fulham in London.
Gerald died on 31 July 1934 in Detroit, USA. Lillian was born in 1887 at the Mile End, London. Gerald and Lillian belong to Reis Generation Three.
A son Gerald S. Reis was born in the first quarter of 1911 in Lambeth but we have so far not found any other records.
On the 1901 census Gerald is a boarder at school
Gerald appears on the 1911 census as Fancy Goods Dealer:
Gerald has been found on the 1930 US census living on his own unmarried in Detroit. This of course conflicts with the marriage to Ms. Daffen in 1910. His employment is at an auto-plant but his exact role is not clear (perhaps a grinder?).
NOTES: According to the passenger list of those leaving the UK by ship the following has been found: Gerald S. Reis age 16 sailed from Liverpool to Quebec, Canada in 1903. and returned in 1904. To see the passenger list click HERE.

He is approximately the 20th named person from the bottom of the page.
