The Lovett family appears here on the ‘Man & Other Families’ web site with the marriage of Penelope Lovett to Henry Northcote and they had a daughter Elizabeth. Elizabeth Northcote married John Incledon; their daughter Mary Incledon married Philip Rogers Webber; their daughter Mary Webber married John Harris; their son John Webber Harris married Louisa Ayton Desborough; their daughter Louisa Mary Harris married Edward Desborough Man. Thus Penelope Lovett is the direct ancestress of all those members of the Man family who are descended from Edward Desborough and Louisa May (Harris) Man, and there are a lot of those. More on the Lovett family:
Edward Lovett (1627-1702) was the daughter of Edward Lovett who married three times: i) Elizabeth Paget; ii) Joane Hearle (1641-1709); and iii) Joane Risdon (1612-1662). From one of these three marriages (we assume the second) Penelope was produced.
Edward was the son of Sir Robert Lovett (1577-1643) of Liscombe House, Soulbury, Buckinghamshire by his wife Alice Anne Saunders (daughter of Richard Saunders of Dinton by Elizabeth, daughter of _ Blount of Blountshall)
