Catherine Mary Marshall was born on 16 January 1889, the daughter of Emma Catherine Man and John Maitland Marshall. She married (1) Lewis Cairns James in 1911 and she then married (2) Edward Stewart (Ofa) James on 30 October 1946. (See James family page)

She died on 6 February 1969 in Benson, Oxfordshire. Lewis Cairns James was born on 23 September 1866 in Edinburgh, Scotland, and he died on 7 October 1946 in Gloucester. Edward Stewart James (Lewis’ nephew) was born on 29 November 1889 and died on 5 February 1977.

Catherine and Lewis belong to Generation Seven; their children belong to Generation Eight and are:
